CINCINNATI: January 23, 2024 –The Valentine’s Day season to show love is coming. Everywhere you look, clues abound: red hearts and flowers, jewelry, chocolates, and of course, a pig with a pink, heart-shaped nose.
He’s Bacon Bit, the pig who loves everyone.
Kids of all ages can meet him in a book releasing today and learn his story. Bacon Loves Everyone! shares a message of love based on the real-life pig, Bacon Bit, and how he came to find his forever family.
As Kirkus Reviews commented, “…it’s impossible not to root for Bacon.”
Readers will also learn about friendship and belonging from the charming pig as Bacon shares the message, “You are Loved!”
Written and illustrated by debut author Tina Neely, Bacon Loves Everyone!has already received a gold Mom’s Choice Award® The book is the first in a collection of stories about Neely’s own pet pig. She really did buy him at a flea market and add him to her family. But unlike Bacon in the book, her pig is a 350-lb Vietnamese potbellied pig.
And he really does just want to share love.
Neely didn’t expect to become an author and book illustrator.
She was working as a sous-chef when she unexpectedly lost her job due to a Covid-required shutdown. As she sat in her backyard trying to write out a plan of what to do next, Bacon Bit demanded her attention, and soon, she says, the stories about him started coming, “story after story came out of nowhere with the same message: you are loved.”
“I genuinely believe this is God-driven,“ Neely said, “and I hope you will want to come along and see where the Lord is leading me to serve Him and share in the new incredible opportunity to spread the message that you are loved.”
Neely, who lives in the Cincinnati area, is available to do school visits and book readings, especially in her region.
